  1. sorry for rezing an older thread, but i'm knee deep into this rn... i setup a single server pterodactyl server with the intention of hosting some games for my kids and their friends. I had hoped to grant them access to make their own changes through the panels and such, but never really got that far.

  2. Awesome, thanks for the clear explanation. I had no idea it worked that way.

  3. What was the answer? It appears the original post is gone.

  4. I disagree... maybe a bad time to "invest" in mining equipment, but I can't think of a more "interesting" time than now (for the curious).

  5. Please don't use that PSU, for one card a 500watt PSU will do. Get a name brand Corsair, EVGA any but what your using

  6. I've done that before. I figured at the time that any connector that stubborn didn't need something "extra" to keep it from "falling" out.

  7. I used to be an axe thrower just like you, then I took an arrow to the knee

  8. This honestly made me think of Braveheart till I read the correction. ^_^

  9. Eve is kind of a fluke. No mmo company really gives players as much freedom as CCP. No other game company has a csm counsel either.

  10. as a former wow fan, it just strikes me just how true this statement is. I really, REALLY, don't like that a game that managed to create such fantastic, persistent, community (with arguably not much more than friends lists, groups/raids, and stuff like banks and an auction house), and the ability to create plugins.

  11. Seeing how that is what I had opened, and all i know that i had opened, and only my container qnap (i have 2), the one with the containers was hit and as best i can tell only my containers were encrypted.

  12. I’m in the process of switching over from ETH to ERG right now. I should have just over 2 GH/s once everything has transitioned and I’m going to solo mine exclusively.

  13. Honestly, this seems like something that would be better suited for some combination of input director (free for non-com use) and/or RDP/vnc/anydesk or maybe just an external monitor.. honestly, i'd have to know more or see what your doing. I've done a lot of these kinds of setups and there is usually a way to get what your wanting done.

  14. It would likely take a new type of compression algorithm to make this seriously effective, something with the ability to create a unique cryptographic curve created by analyzing existing data. Nothing like this has been seriously attempted, and likely won't be attempted outside of labs. I do expect it will be tried as data sets grow and the cost of massive computational power goes down, but that is likely many many years in the future.

  15. I find this disheartening. I really liked yippy, despite it's cluttered/difficult interface. I have hopes that the presearch project will provide better sanitized results, however I really miss the days when I felt like I was in control of my searches.

  16. Learn the CLI and you really don't get these issues.

  17. I'm not sure that's the best idea. The command line doesn't give at least some of the information the Gui provides, at least for me (%complete).

  18. Check your gpu memory overclocks. Lower it down. Kawpow doesn't need higher memory clock, normal is fine, overclocking the cores a bit are fine, but overclocking too much also causes error, kawpow is too sensitive. And ttminer is not that good, use T-Rex for kawpow or crypto dredge.

  19. I have played with the values for OC a lot and in this instance i'm fairly certain it isn't the O/C settings. I still can't turn on ttminer without it getting errors (even at stock speeds).

  20. and prior to that error message it refused to accept my ID, even though I have sent in legal ID (and multiple kinds, even though it should already be on file from before!)

  21. The operative word is "based". A further stretch of the truth is "inspired by true events" lol

  22. Has anyone ever made such a creative for making something totally invented sound legitimate?

  23. It wouldn’t matter to people who already hate swimming in the ocean. I got 95% of the way scuba certified in my HS swimming pool and then realized I had to go in the local reservoir—a reservoir—and I just bailed. Thalassophobia is real.

  24. I sooo remember my daughter refusing to get in our pool with a "deep end" after jumping in a lake and swimming behind a boat... and it just now occurred to me that maybe she thought the whole lake at the time was shallow?

  25. Would he get credit for doing 4 things if he was chasing rabbits in his head?
