  1. Yesss this is wholesome. My cat licks my eyes if I try to pretend to sleep through my alarm lol

  2. Spears were generally significantly better and easier as well.

  3. A catastrophe of nostalgic food from the 70s. It consists of multi-colored mini marshmallows, Cool Whip, maraschino cherries and canned mandarins and pineapple, with variations depending on family and geography. It's horrific and amazing at the same time lol.

  4. Thats why older individuals need to have a fresher test. A simple test that would involve the hazard perception test, a few theory questions on updated topics since the time they likely took their test, and a small practical test to check whether they are a danger.

  5. Democracy isn't one vote per lifetime or every 25 years.

  6. According to the last vote, 45% wanted that. For independence you need at least 75% or you're going to get a lot of issues later on.

  7. You didn't need 75%. Also it doesn't state anywhere that you need 75%.

  8. I'm not saying you need 75% for it to go ahead. I'm saying you need 75% to make sure the country fully supports it.

  9. Will you be removing the memes that are posting incorrect history?

  10. Answer: The UK is governed in a singular, unitary fashion, meaning everything goes through Parliament under normal conditions. However, some of the regions of the UK don't really like this, so the UK grants them authority over crafting local policies and a degree of home rule via devolution of powers to those local assemblies. Thus, there are powers devolved to Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, and London.

  11. Don't forget that it was a unanimous vote by the court with 2 Scots being on it.

  12. Answer: The first minister (like prime minister but with a lot less overall control) of Scotland has been pushing for an independence election for a few years now and went to the British supreme Court to get them to allow another independence vote (they had one in 2014 and it was 45% for and 55% against) and the court said no unless the UK government gives them consent.

  13. It wasn't the empire it was that officer. She rightly believed there was a connection between Andor and Axis then a connection between Axis and the wider rebellion so she wanted to grab Andor, torture him into giving up Axis, grab Axis, torture Axis into giving up rebel information then dismantling them.

  14. OP, what do you think would have happened to the dog if he didn't do that? It was mercy because that dog would have either been abused or put to death later on.

  15. That is actually the part I hate about SWTOR. They got a very unique story of a Cold War complete with its own Vietnam-esque quagmires, and still managed to shoehorn in a "I kill everyone" Sith story.

  16. Yeah, I never liked that its apparently a cold war yet you are constantly killing republic/sith troops.

  17. Uhhhh, is it at all possible that they are resistant BECAUSE they are unaffordable? People won't switch if the alternative is significantly more expensive and unachievable.

  18. The Russians beat the Nazis. The nazis did most of the work for putting the man on the moon. The French, Dutch and Spanish helped you win in 1776.

  19. Wut? The ALLIES beat the Nazis, that includes Britain, France, Russia, and America. Each side did their bit in the war and thats how the war was won.

  20. I'm glad you picked up on this falsehood rather than the truth of the Nazis putting a man on the moon.

  21. They didn't... Wernher von braun did contribute massive amounts towards the ability to leave the atmosphere with his thrusters but the Nazis never actually did that because there was a war and his superiors didn't care about space at the time.

  22. Guy using mods and claiming its some mysterious thing then suffering from a bug.

  23. OP is karma farming. This is mods making the ability significantly longer and increasing his speed massively. Last bit is likely a bug though.

  24. "Sir, can you button up your shirt because you look like a stripper"

  25. Koko the gorilla had a kitten for a pet. She named it All Ball because the kitty would curl up in a ball. All Ball got out though and was hit and killed by a car. When Koko was told about the death she just sobbed. There's a video on YouTube about it. Heartbreaking.

  26. for anyone worried, gorillas are actually one of the more peaceful primates. bigger animals are typically more peaceful since 1) their stature dissuades a lot of attacks meaning they don't have to be on edge as much and 2) actually fighting takes up more energy than it's usually worth. unless this bushbaby somehow challenged a male gorilla's authority or one gorilla accidentally smushed it, it was pretty safe.

  27. Hughie though the story does massively focus on the other two.

  28. Ahhhh, so all the racists, homophobic, ableists, and not Elon haters will get to come back.

  29. But France remains the dominant cultural world influence of all French-speaking nations. On the world stage, Britain has spent the last several decades as a vassal state to American hegemony - perhaps it's time for their language to reflect that. There's also the perspective of cultural diffusion, which as you've observed is also heavily Americanized.

  30. Uhhhhh, how is Britain a vassal state to American Hegemony? You know what a vassal is right?

  31. Not even the dangerous part of it, just that it isn't really a nice thing to do. Even if she isn't hurt, it's still an unnecessary fall that shouldn't have happened in the first place.

  32. Oh yeah, its an arsehole move for sure but it isnt nearly as dangerous as the guy and the people responding are making out.

  33. Yepp, and all these other comments seems to think IRL works like movies, quite embarrassing.

  34. And so many people think that people are made of tissue paper and sticks...

  35. Yeah, Star Citizen is one of those games that gets the constant "I'm having fun so its a great game and you're wrong" which just isn't correct. Personal enjoyment ≠ Greatness.

  36. I reinstalled after the update, and I'm already bored with it again. Yes, it's improved since launch, but 2042 is inconsistently fun, and provides minor glimpses of Battlefield at best. Dedicated 2042 fanboys are pathetically delusional. They seriously think it's the great game that gamers are sleeping on over a shitty launch. Currently, 2042 has an embarrassing 10k people playing it on steam, and within a few days the numbers will go back to its usual 1-3k at best. MWII has close to 400k players, and will not drop below 100k, and that is mostly due to them actually providing content for players to enjoy. There is a reason why more people are playing and enjoying BFV and BF1, but feel free to stay in your fairy story alternate universe where BF2042 isn't a bad game.

  37. Yeah, BF1 has the same amount of players as 2042 currently which is massively embarrassing for EA. BF1 released 6 years ago and Still maintains a consistent player base where 2042 barely hangs on a year after launch.

  38. Every time this happened in the past, the rich didn't control 99% of the global media. Or have murder drones, and murder robots.

  39. Also cultures have become quite placid and accepting of these horrible terms. People will only actually rebel if they personally are threatened but that doesn't work because everyone is threatened at different times. Its like that WW2 poem.

  40. Thats the big issue with protests. Unless there is a clear goal (like equal rights for women) then it collapses because everyone starts to squabble and can't agree on what they want exactly.

  41. Before anyone tries this, this water is not really clean enough to drink on a regular basis, its just had the majority of mud and other large dirt pieces removed from it.

  42. I had a neanderthal slave with high medical and cooking who could perform neurosurgery with no prior training but took about 2 years to learn how to cook a freaking survival meal (Human Resources).

  43. Ooga booga, me no cook meal, recites neurosurgery book perfectly ooga booga!
