  1. Yes, constantly losing bottle babies is incredibly sad. It's bad enough when it's natural causes, but significantly worse when it easily could've been avoided. They're JuSt CaTs but it doesn't mean they deserve to die, especially not in pain. I'm guessing you've never held a crying kitten who's gasping for breath, knowing there's nothing more you can do than just watch them go despite having given them sub-cu fluids, sugars, electrolytes, quality formula, warmth, stimulation, and oxygen for hours.

  2. I still love the guy who was allergic to Dihydrogen Monoxide and only drank Sprite. he went in for a procedure (I think it was a stint or some such), and the nurse almost killed him giving him a glass of the stuff. Luckily the family was visiting him at the time and prevented the disaster. /s

  3. The scary thing is there are 32 (ish, it's an estimate) people on the planet legitimately allergic to it!

  4. I hate that I automatically read that exactly as it was originally said.

  5. Yea, that toddler I tried to save but ultimately died last week was totally faking the RSV she had.

  6. Well I hope she was faking having a RAV! How could she reach the pedals and see over the dash at the same time?!

  7. There are over 50 known plastivorous organisms (as of 2020). Most are bacteria and fungi, but there are some insects as well that can actually digest plastic.

  8. He didn't make shit, please do some research before posting. Those worms eat plastic he didn't create them. The thought emporium YouTube channel have an entire video dedicated to explain this worms.

  9. And several other organisms, too! Over 50 as of 2020, including

  10. N a l, but it looks like Virginia law is very similar to colorado. Here, what you would have to do is send a seven day letter of demand saying that you expect to be paid for all of the hours you worked, with a pay stub and timesheet included, by X date. Let them know that if you fail to receive this, you will be filing a complaint with the Department of labor, maybe retaining an attorney, and will be filing for treble damages, as well as reimbursement for any court costs and attorneys fees. Your employer has no leg to stand on, Virginia isn't At will state, and that means that you do not have to provide any sort of notice to leave your job. Just like he could fire you at any time including the second you walk in the door, you can also leave it anytime with no repercussions. Even if he had caused to deduct money, Virginia state law is very clear that he needs to be either deducting it due to state, local, or federal law, a court ordered purpose, or for you to have given him written consent to deduct the money. The one place you have gone fuzzy, is that you have now sent him a letter telling him that he has your permission to deduct the money. Depending on how you worded it, he could have a standing in a court that says that you agreed to let him keep the money. I would contact the Department of Labor and see where you stand, but either way I would send the seven day letter as soon as possible. I advise sending it either return receipt requested, or certified. From here on in, keep track of every dime that you spend fighting this, because when you do end up collecting the funds from him you want to get everything you are owed. Do not at any point tell him that you are okay with him keeping money from your check.

  11. Keep records of everything, and send the letter via certified mail so there is a date and record of receipt, as it will have to be signed for and Employer will not be able to say it was never received.

  12. His edit really doesn't make it any better 🤦🏻‍♀️

  13. I thought they were kissing their fingertips like they do in hunger games…

  14. I saw Hunger Games first, too, crossed with Nazi salute X3

  15. I have a well paying job but he quit his when I told him I wanted the divorce so I don’t think he would be paying alimony, if anything I might have to?

  16. From what I can tell from a quick Google, CA doesn't have mandatory alimony. For a marriage under 10 years, there could be up to five years of spousal support. The higher earning spouse is likely to be the one paying, but if he earned higher pay before and you can show he quit because of asking for a divorce, you might be able to avoid it. Definitely something to bring up with your attorney!

  17. The bridge to Valhalla is a rainbow. It's for everyone 💖

  18. Also, if your moms are getting child support, being formally adopted by your stepmom may cut that off. Check your state, but that at least used to be the case in Texas, which is why my dad (stepfather) never formally adopted my brother and I. (If you're 18+, it's likely not an issue unless he were in arrears, thus overdue on payments.)

  19. I’m 25 so definitely not an issue, not that he ever payed it anyway lol.

  20. I mean, they could go to court for it! If you go to an attorney anyways, it won't hurt to ask about it. Mine was $28,000 in arrears. MF never showed to court, so attorney and judge both laughed and literally said "how much do you want?" His paychecks were garnished I think like $750/month, well past my turning 18 (brother's older; his remaining was paid through that, too.)

  21. Used to know every neighbor we had when I was a kid. However, not only did I grow up and move away, but so did many of my neighbors. Older neighbors died, moved into age-specific housing, or else in with their grown children. Originally, nearly every home here was owned by the people living within them... nowadays, most are occupied by renters with absentee landlords.

  22. Duolingo is honestly not a bad place to start, just to get back in a little bit! It's not exactly structured, and it certainly isn't that expansive, but it does help bring some of it forward from the depths of your mind and brush off a little of the dust. And it's fairly easy to just do a few minutes every day or whenever, since each "lesson/round" is short.

  23. There was a picture in OOPs post with a rooster and a picture of their child. I just cropped it because I’m lazy

  24. I'm gonna call for a tax, because I also want to see this gorgeous rooster!

  25. 1 IN 10 INFANT DEATHS UNDER SIX MONTHS were found to have been infected with RSV.

  26. Most kids get RSV at least once by the age of 2 and it usually just causes a cold, so it’s not inherently a huge issue. But parents should absolutely be watching for signs of a more serious infection, especially in young babies. I feel so awful for the kids who have bad cases.

  27. There's also the risk of an additional infection coming in, or RSV coming after one. I had pneumonia and RSV at 18 months (don't remember which was first). One of the two times I nearly died as a baby, and I dropped all my baby fat because of it. I was a chonky baby when I went in, and scrawny af when I came out.

  28. Had a feeling, came back to click and confirm, confirmed. That movie was a very different watch as an adult than as a kid. And I love it that much more now XD

  29. That doesn't even make sense; I play the French horn!

  30. Not defending it either, but at least you can take the earrings out and they will eventually close, but you can't really fully regrow a foreskin lmao

  31. It can't be regrown, but there is a process involving a small weight that slowly stretches the skin to create a new sheath. There are a lot of circumcised men who have done it, because the sheath is there for a fucking reason and they wanted it back.

  32. Not trying to be mischievous but you easily type all this out draw a bad circle around c. Top it off with a star and then get a ton of upvotes

  33. You can literally see questions and multiple choice answers on the back of the page showing through. Even easier if you adjust brightness/contrast and shadows/highlights. The question directly behind it goes all the way across the page.

  34. He posted it to another sub and got it taken down for no “staged posts” but you have a fair point personally my printer is double sided but I see what you mean.

  35. Well and you can still print on both sides even if your printer doesn't automatically do it for you XD that's just a fair amount of work for a bs post, but I've also met People, so ¯\_(☯෴☯)_/¯ generally life is just too meh to spend that much energy trying to dissect a shitpost, though.

  36. Dylan and Cole Sprouse (people) are most famous for being child actors on the show The Suite Life of Zac and Cody (their characters). They are both still doing cool stuff and seemed to escape child stardom with solid foundations.

  37. Oh, no, nooo they didn't. Like they're still getting jobs and stuff, but they're both assholes, with some SA thrown in. Dylan's a worse asshole, but Cole's got issues, too.

  38. I bet OP deletes this post because she can’t use it in her favor. I pity her husband, having to put up with her.

  39. One of the reasons this sub has an auto bot comment a copy of the original post, on case of dirty edits, deletes, or removals. We will always get to know 😎

  40. Because they also censor black and they don't want people talking about anything around racism or any other oppression. TikTok in particular is really bad about it. You'll learn a looot of coded words from captions, comments, and bios. They'll shadowban or outright suspend people for it otherwise. I've also seen just using ⚫/⚪ instead of writing anything at all.

  41. Yesss I'm 30 and I "on fleek" is a good example for me as well. I still drop it to my little brother (18) to make him cringe. Though I'm always trying to bring back terms I love that predate me (totally tubular dude)

  42. Hahahaaa yeah some things are easier to incorporate than others 😂 "on fleek" just feels weird and gross, it's "on point" (or en pointe, but that's specifically dance to me) or bust. I think most of the 90s slang has fallen out for me, but I probably speak more in memes and references than anything XD

  43. I'm gonna get everyone to start using the spelling balloonneer, so that in 50 years it will become an accepted spelling. Just gotta come up with some reason the extra letters actually signify something distinct.

  44. Well obviously a ballooneer is one who creates new balloon animal/art designs. For use in Disney parks, specifically.

  45. Amazing how many Republicans told me they loved Trump because he was "a straight shooter who tells it like it is" and yet all that motherfucker does is lie, just constantly.

  46. My new one is gonna be randomly talking about the fact that 11 billion crabs went missing in Alaska. Best part is it actually happened.

  47. And Alaska's not all that concerned because "well, that just happens sometimes." No. Nooo it doesn't, Alaska, please be more worried! o.o
